Affordable, easy to use and clear – this concise, modern dictionary consists of 15,000 entries and 35,000 definitions.
Thoroughly revised and updated for this new edition, and suitable for schools, the G&G Webster’s Word Power English Dictionary has been an inexpensive students’ dictionary and a bestselling book for over twenty years. There are numbered senses within each definition to aid readability, and contemporary headwords are in a bold, clear type.
The definitions are given in plain, accessible English. In addition to a pronunciation guide in the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA), there is a syllable-based, spelled-out pronunciation system, understandable without the need for a key.
